Scope: A Design Build Project which includes a 610′ long X 75′ wide Engine Hall and a separate 130′ X 130′ Maintenance/Control Building. The Engine Hall houses (18) Wartsila natural gas fired generators which act to supplement power to the grid during peak production. The Engine Hall includes interior masonry walls and an elevated industrial equipment platform.
Key Project Features:
The Engine Hall utilizes (3) large continuous ridge vents (CRV’s) installed over the engine bays to meet the air movement requirements. Also included were (3) 2.5-ton bridge cranes, perforated interior liner panel, Kinetics Sound Barrier material applied to the roof and walls to reduce noise transmission and (36) large supply fans and louvers. The roof is a 22 ga. Colonial Red VP standing seam roof (SSR) and the wall panels are Egyptian White VP panel rib panel with a crimped base.
The Maintenance/Control Building includes several offices and lab rooms as well as a large maintenance shop with a separate 2.5 ton bridge crane. Two entry vestibules and several louver openings and windows were included in the exterior of the building. This building was erected simultaneously with the Engine Hall.
