Project Duration: 4 months – December 2008 – March 2009

Project Overview and Scope: 

  • Final structure is 82’ wide, 93’ long, and 13’ high with an 11’ X 8’ elevator shaft
  • Building was to act as a mechanical penthouse for the existing facility. The new structure was anchored to the top level of a two-story precast structure
  • Structure was difficult to access during construction due to its location atop an existing      structure and within a controlled workspace
  • Overcame significant safety challenges to protect LBS workers and customer’s employees

Key Features:

  • 2 large, wall louvers installed on south wall. 1 louvers was installed on each roof curb and relief hood for building ventilation
