Project Overview and Scope:
- Constructed a separate engine hall and maintenance building
- Engine hall and maintenance building erected simultaneously
- Kinetics sound barrier material on the roof and walls reduces noise transmission
Key Features:
- Engine hall measures 610′ X 75′ and houses 18 Wartsila natural gas-fired generators, which supplement power to the grid during peak production
- Engine hall includes interior masonry walls, an elevated industrial equipment platform, 3 2.5 ton bridge cranes, and 36 large supply fans and louvers
- Building includes 3 large, continuous ridge vents to move air efficiently
- Maintenance/control building measures 130′ X 130′ and incldues several offices and labs, as well as a maintenance shop and its own 2.5 ton bridge crane.
