  • New building was a rooftop structure that was constructed on the top level of a new, four story, precast concrete structure and was tied to the existing building
  • Given the difficulties associated with rooftop staging and construction, LBS worked extensively with general contractor on design, pre-planning and construction to ensure all needs were met
  • Safety requirements were challenging due to the limited space and dangers of a rooftop         construction environment

Key Building Features:

  • Structure is the mechanical penthouse for the existing building and houses the research facility
  • Project included multiple louvers, hoods, and roof curbs to meet mechanical design needs
  • Project was the second phase of construction.  LBS completed the first phase in 2009 and was subsequently selected to perform the PEMB construction for Phase Two
